As I noted last month, I’ve decided to abbreviate my blogs. I don’t have time to write long-form expositions and you don’t have time to read them.
What I am doing instead is posting Coaching Tips on LinkedIn as daily updates. Recently my entries have focused on exercising. Here are my suggestions:
COACHING TIP: Exercising at work is good for your physical health and your mental health. Many recent studies have demonstrated the detrimental effect of prolonged sitting. Brighten your day with short bursts of exercise. You’ll feel better and your stress level will come down. Stretch, use stairs, do chair dips – whatever exercise works for you. Check out the possibilities.
COACHING TIP: Are you a weekend warrior? Do you get exercise only on the weekends or when you “have time?” Make your health and self-care a priority. That will give you the energy to achieve your goals. It’s no fun being a CEO from a sick bed!
I’d love to hear other suggestions about making exercise a priority. Add your two cents below as a comment.
